Mid-Coast
The Mid-Coast region of Maine stretches from Brunswick (26 miles north of Portland), along the coast northeast to Searsport on Penobscot Bay. It includes the towns of Bath, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Rockland, Camden and Belfast; stretches inland to Union, Unity and Monroe; and out to the islands of North Haven, Monhegan, Matinicus and Vinalhaven.
Mid-Coast sporting events include world-famous yacht races, lobster boat races, fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, bike races, road races, Maine's only curling bonspiels, and toboggan championships, among others. The Mid-Coast region is also home to Bowdoin College.
