The inaugural Pumpkinhead Half Marathon is new to this year’s 39th Annual Eliot Festival Days and 5K celebration. Pumpkinhead Pete and the Shipyard team are working hard to create a competitive and family-friendly event that will run through a beautiful part of York County along the Piscataqua River in Eliot.
Runners and supporters are encouraged to come to Eliot to take part in the half marathon and 5K road races and experience all that the area has to offer in the fall. Top finishers will share a purse of $3,000.
In addition to the race and the festival days’ schedule of events, there will be an entire day’s worth of activities at the Shipyard Brew Pub like sports demos, yard games, and hours of great live music headlined by The Serfs.
All half marathon runners will be eligible for two Pumpkinhead beers afterward, which are included in the entry fee. For those who prefer a coffee, the world’s only heart healthy coffee, Grind Nitro Cold Brew, will be available from Vera Roasting Company and Shipyard Brewing Company.
Packet pickup for runners will be available from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28, from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. at Shipyard Brew Pub’s Regatta Room. The Pumpkinhead Half Marathon/5K races will both begin at 8:30 a.m.
Post-race festival will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
