Sunday River has 131 trails, including 43 beginner, 47 intermediate, and 41 expert, skiable from 18 lifts.

Sunday River is the busiest Maine ski resort and can accommodate the crowds with two hotels, hundreds of condominiums and 2,500 parking spaces on-mountain. They have hosted World Cup ski and snowboard events, NCAA Division 1 championships and other non-skiing events throughout the year.

The Sunday River golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., is a 7,130-yard, par 72 course with driving range, target greens and access to the resort and conference center at the main lodge.

Norway Savings Bank Area, the only dual surface ice arena in Maine, is a multi-purpose event facility that specializes ice hockey and can host multiple events and activities simultaneously. Featuring coaches & officials rooms, 10 locker rooms, pro shop, concessions, tavern and mezzanine, this year-round rink is open for hockey, ice skating and other ice related events.

Maine Huts & Trails is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the economic, social and natural environment of Maine’s Lakes and Mountains region by creating and operating a world-class recreation corridor for current and future generations.

Our backcountry trails enhance access to beautiful lakes, rivers and forestlands, and our low impact huts provide inviting spaces that facilitate outdoor adventures and learning. This self-sustaining resource stimulates environmentally sensitive economic opportunity in the region by attracting visitors of all ages and abilities.
We currently operate four backcountry eco-lodges and more than 80 miles of trails in Western Maine. We offer “off the grid,” hut-to-hut adventures coupled with comfortable and friendly accommodations.

There are countless possibilities for outdoor enthusiasts and active travelers of all levels, ages and interests. Delight in one (or two or three) of your favorite activities whether hiking, mountain biking or paddling, swimming, fishing, skiing or snowshoeing. At night, enjoy delicious home-cooked meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients, warm, comfortable beds and hot showers.
