Augusta Civic Center

The Augusta Civic Center can host up to 6,777 spectators, though the parking must reach out into the greater Augusta area.

There are nearly 2,000 rooms in hotels and inns within 20 minutes of the Civic Center and I-95.

The facility has 49,000 sq. ft., an impressive main auditorium, two ballrooms, and 23 flexible capacity rooms and full catering services and can host basketball, cheerleading, dance, boxing, fencing, and wrestling.

Colby’s facilities take advantage of campus parking, providing up to 1,000 spaces.

Boasting one of the largest tennis facilities in the state at the 10-court Alfond-Wales Tennis Courts, Colby also houses one of the finest squash facilities in the country at the Dunaway Squash Courts.

Another special feature at Colby is the Colby-Hume crew center, one of few professional facilities for the sport in the state of Maine.

The Colby Soccer Fields has 2-4 turf fields for soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and field hockey.

Wadsworth Gymnasium seats 2,600 for basketball, volleyball, and cheering competition.

Additional turf fields are located at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium. For ice events, the Harold Alfond Athletic Center can seat 1,700 spectators.

Swimming events take place at the 10-lane, 25-yard pool, that can be used as a 12-lane pool as necessary. This state of the art Olympic-size facility was the host to USA Artistic Swimming USA Masters Nationals in October, 2022.

The Campbell & Colby Cross Country Trails feature 8.5 miles of racing trails. Indoor running facilities are housed at the Harold Alfond Athletic Center Field House.

Colby Softball plays at the Crafts Field and baseball at Coombs Field.

The Costello Sports Complex on the USM Gorham Campus, is a state of the art facility designed to meet the needs of the University of Southern Maine students and staff, as well as the surrounding communities.

Portland Expo

Home to the Maine Red Claws, G-League affiliate of and owned by the Boston Celtics.
A great facility with the ability to house basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and dance in the 3,000-seat facility.

The Expo has a public address system focused on the bleachers and 4 Bose Panaray 402-II speakers per side. With extensive locker rooms and 24,190 sq. ft. of obstruction-free exhibit space, the Expo is great for regional events.

Great access to local accommodation and all that Portland has to offer with 200 parking spaces on-site. Reserved handicapped parking is located in the parking lot between the Expo and the Portland Ice Arena for patrons with a valid permit.

The Cross Insurance Arena (formerly the Cumberland County Civic Center) is home to the Maine Mariners hockey team.

The 34,000 sq. ft. facility is capable of hosting on one court or one ice rink activities from basketball and hockey to track & field, volleyball, boxing, cheerleading, dance, fencing and wrestling.

The facility holds anywhere from 6,700-8,500 spectators in downtown Portland with ample parking in municipal garages and accommodations in the city’s hotels.
