Founded in 1894 along the idyllic banks of the Kennebec River in Waterville, Maine, Thomas College offers some of the most inspiring settings for athletic fields that meet NCAA standards. From the turf field complex and fan stands to our Harold Alfond Athletic Center, with a workout room and indoor track, we are equipped for all your rental needs. From high school athletics to community teams, we can accommodate a wide variety of sports including Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Tennis & Track & Field, and E-Sports.

 

 

 

 

 

University of Maine - Orono

University of Maine – Orono

With parking for more than 3,000 cars, the University of Maine’s facilities includes the Mahney Baseball Diamond’s 3,500 seat facility with training space, turf field, public address system, and fully-equipped press box.

Nearby Mahaney Dome houses a practice field and fields for indoor little league or softball.

University of Maine’s Harold Alfond Sports Arena seats 5,125 and features luxury boxes.

The university’s turf football field, Morse Field, can be one full field or three half-size fields, with two full grass fields available nearby, seats 10,000 and was refinished in 2008, providing playing space for football, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, field hockey, and lacrosse.

The Mike Kessock Softball Field is one of the finest in the Northeast, with around 1,000 seats.

The Stanley M. Wallace 8-lane, 25-yard pool with an attached diving well plays host to annual state swimming competitions and the indoor Beckett Family Track and Field Complex with its 8-lane track, 3 long and triple jump areas, 2 javelin runways, 2 hammer and discus cages, a hexagonal high jump area, steeplechase pit, and 4 pole vault areas has hosted NCAA National Championships.

The recently renovated New Balance Field House is home to new indoor track and field facilities.

The UMaine Field Hockey Complex features an all-turf playing surface with scoreboard and removable bleachers for approximately 500 fans.

Alumni Field features a natural grass playing surface with scoreboard and removable bleachers for approximately 500 fans.

University of Maine - Presque Isle

University of Maine – Presque Isle

Whether you’re looking to get a quick workout in, or pump some serious iron, our 4,000-square-foot fitness center is designed to accommodate you. Located on the building’s second floor, the Fitness Center has workout areas that overlook the running track and gym on one side and the pool on the other side. Inside the center is over $100,000 in equipment consisting of cardio machines, resistance machines, and free weights.

If you’re looking for a different type of exercise, the elevated running track offers three lanes for foot traffic, and the 13,000-square-foot multipurpose gym can be used for a variety of different sports, from basketball and soccer to badminton and volleyball all included in Gentile Hall

Weiden Hall, Dedicated in 1960 as a multipurpose building, Wieden Hall now serves as the home of the Owls’ men’s and women’s basketball teams and women’s volleyball. Wieden also houses an indoor batting cage for the baseball team, a state-of-the-art athletic training facility, and classrooms for the athletic training, physical education, and the new physical therapy programs.

Cross Insurance Arena

The Cross Insurance Arena (formerly the Cumberland County Civic Center) is home to the Maine Mariners hockey team.

The 34,000 sq. ft. facility is capable of hosting on one court or one ice rink activities from basketball and hockey to track & field, volleyball, boxing, cheerleading, dance, fencing and wrestling.

The facility holds anywhere from 6,700-8,500 spectators in downtown Portland with ample parking in municipal garages and accommodations in the city’s hotels.

Basketball: 7,500 seats

Concert: 9,500 seats
